Cleaner – St. Finbarr's Togher GAA (Part-Time)
From a tiny team of dreamers to now employing hundreds of staff throughout your communities – dads, aunties, grannies, and neighbours (you name it!). We prioritise local hiring.
A little bit about us
Looking for a role that fits easily into your day — and helps keep something meaningful running smoothly?
At The Lunch Bag, we deliver healthy, hot school meals to children across Ireland. Every day our teams help thousands of children receive warm, nutritious lunches in school. We’re proud to be Ireland’s leading school meal provider, and everything we do is about helping children build healthy habits for life.
Behind every successful school delivery is a team making sure everything runs safely and smoothly. That’s where you come in.
So, what’s the job?
Our Hot Drop Locations can get very busy during the lunch rush, and we’re looking for someone who can help keep things clean, organised, and running efficiently.
This role is all about supporting the team by making sure the workspace stays tidy and safe after the busiest part of the day.
You’ll be helping with things like:
Cleaning floors, surfaces, and work areas
Washing up equipment used during lunch service
Keeping the area clean and presentable
Organising and managing bins and waste disposal
Supporting the team to ensure everything runs smoothly for the following day.
Ensuring all work areas adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations in accordance with EHO standards.
It’s a short shift, but an important one — your work helps make sure everything is ready to go again for the next school day.
When will I work?
This role is part-time, working approximately 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Typical hours are roughly 1:30pm – 3:30pm, though there may be slight flexibility depending on the location.
Because we work with schools, the job follows the school calendar, meaning you’ll also enjoy the school holidays off.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
Takes pride in keeping things clean and organised
Is reliable and happy to work independently
Can follow simple cleaning procedures and instructions
Is comfortable working in a busy environment
You’ll need to be able to read and speak English so you can follow cleaning instructions and safety procedures.
No previous experience is required — just a good attitude and a willingness to help the team.
What’s the pay?
We know this is the question everyone wants answered.
You will earn €14.65 per hour, which is 50c above the current minimum wage.
Why join The Lunch Bag?
A friendly, supportive team
Short daily hours that fit around other commitments
School holidays off
The chance to be part of something that makes a difference for children every day
Even though this is a small role, it plays an important part in helping our teams deliver meals safely and smoothly to schools.
